From Bay Street to B3


Hey, I’m Kelsey, a Canadian expat living in Northeast Brazil. As I figure out how to invest in local assets, I’ve been sharing what I learn along the way. Gringo Investor is where I make sense of things out loud.  Hopefully I can help a few other curious investors while I’m at it.

I’m not a financial advisor, just someone who’s fallen down the rabbit hole of cheap stocks and FIIs. I’ve spent hours digging through resources (often translated from Portuguese) trying to make sense of how things work here. This site is where I put it all together, in a way that hopefully makes it easier for others to follow too.

You’ll find practical posts on FIIs, Brazilian stocks, and the occasional rant about learning things the hard way. I try to keep it simple, and focussed on providing insight where I can.
